Back 2 Back Champions

Well another year that ended with the conformation that Hadspen Cricket Club is truly the most progressive, and dogged team that has arguably ever taken the sporting field, while a few of the nutters around the place may disagree, they surely must concede that we are godlike, on the field and off we strive to push ourselves, to build a culture and a mindset that can not be eroded by inferior opponents or the arrow of time, to see a sea of red and black across the undisputed home of cricket, a mecca where we pay homage to the memory of Sidmouth and regularly opponents are slaughtered on the alter of sacrifice.

Long live Sidmouth, Long live Hadspen !

Dav, Tracey, Muzz and Pete recently attended a community meeting at the clubrooms on 25/1/2010 with Representatives from The Meander valley council and other users of the centre. The great news is that it appears likely the users of the centre will receive a Federal Government grant for $105000 towards the construction of clubrooms and extra storage. Dav presented a great vision of how the new clubrooms/bar/storage should look. Our vision will be approx 190m2 (after allowing for large amounts of in kind labour and sponsorship support) . The council have had their own drawings completed and their extensions come in at around 100m2. The club will have more meetings with the council and users of the centre to finalise this exciting development.

17 August 2010-  An agreement is being drawn up between us an the MVC to ensure we get the largest area with the funds available, by us helping finish the building with donated labour. ie: possibly painting and other jobs we can help out on. So step forward and offer your help, many hands make light work.
